FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: May 2, 2022
ORLANDO, FL – International Association for Creation teamed up with an international coalition of organizations to distribute 30,000 Starlink terminals to small businesses across the nation of Ukraine on February 28, 2022, to help families in villages across the country stay connected.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the millions of families experiencing trouble in these current times,” said Steven Policastro, head of the Christian ministry.
IAC has also coordinated with teams in Slovakia to assist Ukrainian refugees at border crossings. The teams reported that they have helped more than 10,000 refugees escape the country per day since the evacuations began.
“Our growing network of Christian leaders includes teams serving in over 120 nations,” Policastro said. “Today has been a clear demonstration of the powerful effect that mobilizing local teams can have, positively affecting a nation in crisis.”
The Starlink devices were donated by Elon Musk, CEO of the Starlink internet company, as part of his promise to support Ukraine’s network connectivity at the request of a Ukrainian official after Russian troops invaded the country. IAC remains committed to the operational integrity of its network, providing resources for local teams that ensure the resilience of mission-critical operations, including amplifying learning, increasing access to homeschooling and protecting parental rights throughout the world.
