Homeschool freedom winning in Albania

ORLANDO, FL – National Christian homeschool leaders in Albania, in partnership with the International Association for Creation, saw rare gains in the freedoms for homeschoolers across the country in November this year. Albania is a homeschool frontier as the country recovers from communism and needs strong, innovative leaders to help guide the national conversation on education freedom.

The concept of a voluntary parent-led, home-based education is not present within the current cultural framework in the region. Leaders in Albania are beginning to strategize on yearly goals to help their communities grow in understanding the importance of parent-led home-based education. IAC will continue supporting [name of local homeschooling group] by monitoring the situation and providing advice, counsel, and resources as applicable.

This struggle is for the freedom to homeschool as well as a battle for religious freedom. Modern politics and government authorities want to indoctrinate the public, especially children, with their selective messaging. The messaging limits the ability of the individual to exercise critical thinking, take personal responsibility and strive for personal success.
