FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 23rd, 2021
ORLANDO, FL – The French parliament has unveiled a law intended to combat “Islamism extremism.” The bill, called the Anti-Separatism Bill, is designed to improve the country’s secular system.
The bill also targets those who homeschool, effectively forcing all demographics to use the public school system. IAC will continue supporting the national Christian homeschool leaders in France by monitoring the situation and providing advice, counsel and resources as applicable.
Homeschooling has, along with much of the cultures around the world, changed with the respond to COVID-19. Many parents ended up homeschooling to help prevent their family of contracting the virus, which in turn encouraged religious families who already homeschooled, or were considering that option.
This struggle is for the freedom to homeschool as well as a battle for religious freedom. Modern politics and government authorities want to indoctrinate the public, especially children, with their selective messaging. That messaging limits the ability of the individual to exercise critical thinking, take personal responsibility, and strive for personal success.
