Freedom Index Map Rating Levels
The Freedom Index Map Rating reflects the legal, cultural, and governmental environment surrounding homeschooling in each nation. Each rating is based on expert analysis and current conditions on the ground.
1. Favorable (Green)
A Favorable rating indicates that the nation has policies or conditions that support or encourage homeschooling.

2. Not Favorable (Yellow)

The Freedom Index Map Rating is a global system developed by the Global Alliance of National Christian Homeschool Leaders to evaluate and track the state of parental rights and the autonomy of Christian education in over 100 nations.
This rating system draws on data from national Christian homeschool leaders and external experts to quantify and assess each country’s legal environment, cultural climate, and public policy related to home-based, parent-led education.

How Are Countries Rated?
